This includes every pupil who has additional educational needs.<\/p>\n<p>In accordance with the general aims and objectives of the school, it endeavours to do its best for and achieve the best from every pupil with additional educational needs.<\/p>\n<p>The special educational needs could arise from several aspects, including &#8211; low academic level, a high academic achievement, physical disability, psychological needs, social backgrounds, specific learning difficulties, a slow learner and anti-social behaviour.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><br \/>\n<section  class='av_textblock_section av-av_textblock-396ddf1f42196ca838231e61a4602801 '   itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div class='avia_textblock'  itemprop=\"text\" ><h2>Able and Talented Pupils<\/h2>\n<p>Our feeding primary schools share information with us about the talents of pupils before they start year 7. There are wide-ranging opportunities within the curriculum and in extra-curricular activities for able and talented pupils. Performance data and challenging targets are used to identify and challenge pupils to excel.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><br \/>\n<section  class='av_textblock_section av-av_textblock-396ddf1f42196ca838231e61a4602801 '   itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div class='avia_textblock'  itemprop=\"text\" ><h2>Accessibility Plan<\/h2>\n<p>The site at Ysgol Y Strade has been adapted during the last few years to be accessible to pupils and adults with a range of disabilities, including wheelchair users. We shall develop Sex Education within an inter-disciplinary framework taking into account:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The age, maturity and development of\u00a0 the pupil.<\/li>\n<li>The syllabuses which include Sex and\u00a0 Relationships Education will give a\u00a0 particular consideration to moral issues\u00a0and the value of family life, the age,\u00a0 maturity and development of the pupils.<\/li>\n<li>The requirements of the syllabuses of\u00a0 Health Education and Moral Education taught as a part of Personal and Social\u00a0Education to every pupil in the school\u00a0(as a complete course in Years 10,11,12,13\u00a0and as a part of the PSHE lessons in\u00a0 Years 7-9).<\/li>\n<li>The requirements of the Science syllabus\u00a0(GCSE) to all pupils in Years 10 and 11.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/section><br \/>\n<section  class='av_textblock_section av-av_textblock-396ddf1f42196ca838231e61a4602801 '   itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div class='avia_textblock'  itemprop=\"text\" ><h2>Education for Sustainable Development and Global Citizenship<\/h2>\n<p>The school promotes Education for Sustainable Development and Global Citizenship across the curriculum.
